Privacy, safety & how LINEA works
LINEA is an experimental 18+ random video-chat service. No accounts or profiles are required. Anyone on a call may use external software or another device to record or share what they see and hear, even though LINEA itself does not provide call-recording functionality.
What passes through our infrastructure
Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects coordinate matching and relay short-lived WebRTC offers, answers, network candidates and text messages. Video and audio use direct browser-to-browser WebRTC paths when possible. STUN servers supplied by Google are queried to discover candidate network addresses. The other caller may learn your public IP address or other network information through WebRTC. We do not upload call video or audio to our application server.
Data and reporting
We do not ask for personal names, emails or accounts. Matchmaking connection state and session-level pairing blocks are held during your connection. Reports count toward an aggregate daily total and block the reported pairing for the current connection; no video clips or message transcripts are intentionally stored by this application. Cloudflare, your ISP and STUN providers may process operational data under their own policies. No human review or content moderation is available for this experimental beta.
Connections, safety and costs
Direct WebRTC video may not connect behind certain mobile, enterprise or restrictive networks. A properly configured TURN relay is needed to make connections more reliable across all network types; no TURN service is included. The service depends on third-party hosting and quota-limited infrastructure, so uninterrupted or permanently free operation is not guaranteed. Do not send sensitive content, images, financial information or contact details to people you meet here.
18+ access
The site asks visitors to confirm they are adults but does not perform identity or age verification. It must not be marketed as a child-safe or fully moderated environment. Stop the call if someone behaves abusively. Reporting currently only blocks that pairing during your session and increments an aggregate count.
